    Description

The Pentax SP 10x50 Binoculars offer exceptional optical performance with high-quality BaK4 prisms and fully multi-coated lenses, making them perfect for both terrestrial and astronomical viewing.

Designed for both astronomical and terrestrial use, Pentax's 8x40 / 10x50 /12x50 /16x50 S-Series SP Binocular features large oversized fully multicoated 50mm objectives to reduce reflection and maximize light transmission through the entire optical path. Utilizing the traditional porro prism configuration gives scenes a rich depth of view for an immersive observation experience and provides a comfortable feel in the hand with a lot of surface area to maintain a sure grip. The large objectives and coatings maximize the amount of light getting to the user's eyes for exceptional low-light capabilities, and its high 10x 12x 16x magnification provides an immersive observation experience whether users are bird watching or comet hunting.

The binocular sports a generous 13mm (8x40, 10x50, 12x50) 11mm (12x50) eye relief and the fold-down eyecups seal against the ocular cavity to block stray peripheral light which can dim images. Its over-sized objectives add weight and bias the center of gravity forward making user fatigue a concern and hand-shake a possibility, so to aid long observation sessions the binocular can be mounted on a tripod using an optional adapter.

Designed to provide an immersive experience for nature and bird watching, Pentax's 8x40 S-Series SP Binocular boasts a wide 65.6° angle of view and porro prisms that produce a rich depth of view. The 40mm objectives are fully multicoated to reduce reflection and maximize light transmission through the entire optical path without making them overly cumbersome for a long day on the trail. The coatings ensure bright and clear high-contrast images even in low-light, and its utilitarian 8x magnification brings subjects close while maintaining wide 430' field of view at 1000 yards to preserve situational awareness. The binocular sports a 13mm eye relief and the fold-down eyecups seal against the ocular cavity to block stray peripheral light which can dim images.

              Ellie V. ★★★★★

The rubberized armor makes these feel incredibly secure in hand, even in damp conditions. I can actually read the numbers on a license plate over a mile away with the fully multicoated optics, which is impressive for the size.

              Harper Y. ★★★★★

The center focus wheel is big enough to adjust without looking down once, which made tracking birds along the treeline way easier. The rubberized coating survived a rainy hike in my pack, no slipping at all.

              David ★★★★★

Took these out at dusk and the fully multicoated optics really pulled detail out of the shadows where my old pair just went muddy. The rubberized armoring gives a solid grip even with sweaty hands, and the fold-down eyecups sit comfortably against my glasses.
