Description
50 mm Bright. 42 mm Light.
The New ZEISS SFL 50 Binoculars.
The ZEISS SFL 50 binoculars offer premium optics in an exceptionally lightweight and compact design, rivaling traditional 42mm models. Combining outstanding performance with portability, they are the perfect choice for those seeking optical excellence and convenience.
Light Weight & Compact Design
The ZEISS SFL 50 binoculars combine the performance of 50mm optics with the compactness of 42mm models. This is accomplished through an optical design that prioritizes optimal compactness, featuring thinner lens elements, reduced lens diameter and minimized spacing between lenses. The magnesium housing ensures durability while keeping the weight low, allowing for comfortable, long-term use without fatigue.
Great optical performance with UHD concept
The ZEISS SFL 50 binoculars provide outstanding optical performance through the innovative UHD concept. With 90% light transmission and their large exit pupil of 50 mm they deliver bright images even in low light. At the same time the true-to-life color fidelity ensures accurate wildlife identification with clarity. Experience a wide field of view for immersive observation and a close focusing distance of just 1.8 meters.
These advantages result from a perfectly balanced optical system. The ZEISS T* multi- coating maximizes brightness and color accuracy, while phase-corrected roof prisms and glasses featuring high transmission values enhance clarity. Extra-Low-Dispersion glasses minimize chromatic aberration, and advanced features like Field Flattener Technology and aspheric lenses guarantee high resolution.
Perfect ergonomics
The ZEISS SFL 50 binoculars are engineered for optimal ergonomics. The SmartFocus system allows for fast and precise adjustments, requiring only 1.4 turns from close focus to infinity, ensuring smooth and fatigue-free operation without chatter or distracting torque. The large focus wheel is ergonomically positioned to prevent over-stretching of your finger. With an armored design featuring a coarse surface, the body, focus wheel, and diopter provide a secure grip, even with gloves.
The weight of the binoculars is shifted towards the eyepiece and is perfectly balanced in the hand, allowing long and steady observation without fatigue. The comfortable eye cups, made of soft rubber, offer five adjustable positions and are easy to remove and clean.
Robust and durable design
The ZEISS SFL 50 binoculars are built with a robust and durable design, featuring magnesium housing that combines strength with portability. The hydrophobic ZEISS LotuTec lens coating enhances durability by allowing water to drain off without residue, whilst also repelling dirt and fingerprints. Furthermore, the nitrogen purging prevents fogging on the inside. For added flexibility, the hinge cap allows quick tripod attachment, while removable eyepiece protection caps and flipping lens covers protect against dirt and rain.
