Birding in low light used to mean guessing at shapes, but the waterproof housing let me set this up in a drizzle without a second thought. The straight eyepiece tube is a little awkward at first for tracking, though once I threaded in a 1.25 inch eyepiece the image clarity made it all worthwhile.

The ED glass makes a real difference in color correction—way less chromatic aberration than my old budget scope. It’s also nice that it accepts standard 1.25-inch eyepieces, giving me flexibility without needing an adapter.
